Weekend Events for Sept. 13-15

Here are some fun events going on in Hampton Roads this weekend:

Friday

Mediterranean Weekend (Friday-Sunday)
There is fun for the whole weekend at the Virginia Beach oceanfront all weekend! There will be pasta, pizza, Greek food, music, dance groups, prizes, live entertainment, and more. Head over to 17th Street Park and 24th Street Park on Virginia beach for the fun!

Little Rockstars Preschool Music Class

Take your preschooler out to the Farmers Market at 3640 Dam Neck Road in Virginia Beach at noon.  This class is $7 per child/adult pair and $5 per additional child. This is going on each Friday! 

Scarecrow Harvest Party Garden Night Adventure

The Botanical Gardens has another great event going on from 6-8PM Friday night! Celebrate fall with some fun fall activities, stories, crafts, warm apple cider, and a campfire with s'mores! It's going to be a blast!

Saturday

Pawsative Reading with Therapy Dogs

The Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library and the Princess Anne Library are hosting dogs! Children grades K-5 are welcome to come out to see some therapy dogs and have storytime from 10 - 11 AM. 

Paws to Read

The same thing is happening at Chesapeake Central Library at 2PM. Wow! Three chances to read with therapy dogs. Don't miss out! 

Corn Maze at Bergey's Breadbasket

The Corn Maze is open for the season! Head over to Bergey's Breadbasket at 2207 Mount Pleasant Road for the 5th Annual Corn Maze. It's 5 acres of fun open from 10 AM - 7 PM. It's $6 per person (under age 4 are FREE). This price includes the maze, wagon ride, corn hole, pumpkin patch, farm animals, sack racing, and more. (Pumpkins are sold seperately). To just ride the wagon it is only $3. 

Farmers Market Apple Extravaganza

The Farmers Market in Virginia Beach is having an Apple Festival! Come out for bounce houses, pony rides, food tasting, and more from 11 AM - 3 PM. This is at 3640 Dam Neck Road in VB. 

Open House at Young Chef's Academy

If your kids haven't take a Young Chef's class yet, now is the time to check it out. Saturday is an Open House from 12-2 PM. There will be free samples and specials on their classes. Young Chef's Academy is located at 1554 Laskin Road, Suite 106 in Virginia Beach.

Pink Heals

Come out and support the Virginia Beach Fire Department! From 10 AM - 2PM on Saturday, they will be having a fundraising event with music, food, a Chinese raffle, candy, face painting, clowns, and more! This will take place at the Priority Indoor Superstore (110 S. Independence Blvd. in VB). 

Star Party / Laser Show

The Virginia Living Museum is hosting a 4 shows on Saturday from 7:30 - 11:30 PM. The show schedule is as follows:

Virginia Skies- 7:30 PM

Laser Magic- 8:30 PM

Laser Queen- 10 PM

Dark Side of the Moon at 11:30 PM

Each show is $6. The Virginia Living Museum is at 524 J. Clyde Morris Blvd. in Newport News. 

Sunday

A Visit to the Farm

Kids, ages 3-6 are invited to the Kempsville Library for songs, stories, and crafts all with the farm theme. This will be from 2-3 PM. To register, call 385-2627.
