Little Rockstars Preschool Music Class
This class for preschoolers happens every week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 AM and on Fridays at noon. It is $7 per adult & child and $5 per additional child. Free Glass Demonstrations at the Chrysler Museum in Norfolk

Halloween Events at Bass Pro Shops
There will be a fun Halloween events at the Bass Pro Shop at 5 PM. Head over to 1972 Power Plant Pkwy. in Hampton. 

The Little Gym Halloween Boo Bash
The Little Gym of Chesapeake is having their annual Halloween Party! Party times are:

5:00 to 6:00 PM - Ages 3 and under

Monster Mash Family Night
Head over to Virginia MOCA (2200 Parks Ave. in Virginia Beach) for a fun family night. Enjoy art activities, a scavenger hunt, Halloween themed musical performance by special guests (the C-Shells). Wear your costume for the costume contest. Admission is:

Garden Trick or Treating
From 6:30-8 PM the Norfolk Botanical Garden is having trick-or-treating in their beautiful garden. Wear your costume. Make s'mores around a campfire and listen to jokes and stories, then go trick-or-treating. You may want to bring a flashlight. Regular admission applies.

Bootacular- All Weekend
Free Admission Halloween Event! There will be exhibits, games, entertainment aimed at children 12 years and under. There will be a trackless barrel train ride, a toddler haybale maze, original and unique hand build carnival games, mini ghoulish golf, pop rockets, Halloween inflatable obstacle course, Mad Scientist Laboratory exhibit, Scarytale Maze, music, creepy crafts, facepainting, a pumpkin illumination trail (at night), vendors and a yummy garden food court. There will also be a story time program! This is designed specifically for toddlers and children in early elementary school.

Ghost Train at Northwest River Park
Go on a super spooky train ride through the haunted woods of Northwest River Park. This is going on from 7-10 PM. This will take place at 1733 Indian Creek Road in Chesapeake. Tickets are $10 per person.

The GREAT Pumpkin Lighting (Friday and Saturday)
The Portsmouth Art and Culture Center (400 High Street in Portsmouth) is asking people to turn in their carved pumpkins for a Pumpkin Lighting. Both Friday and Saturday evening (at dusk) they will line up all of the pumpkins submitted and light them for the Olde Towne Ghost Walk and Safe Trick or Treat. There is also still time to submit a pumpkin! Friday from 10 AM - 3PM you can drop off pumpkins.

Hunt Club Farm
Hunt Club Farm is having it's annual Fall Harvest Fair! Head out for the petting farm, pony rides, pumpkin patch, hayrides, and a carnival! Weekdays they are open from 9 AM - 5PM. Weekends they are open from 10 AM - 10 PM with even more fun things going on like inflatables, games, pumpkin sales, and fun for the kids. You won't want to miss this! Head over to 2388 London Bridge Road in Virginia Beach.

Parents Night out at Bounceez
Parents get a night out while the kids stay in and bounce, bounce, bounce! Drop off kids ages 3-12 (must be potty trained) and go enjoy a break. Call 757-463-0100 to reserve a spot. This will be from 6-9PM.

Family Fitness with Fido
The Norfolk Botanical Garden is having a fitness day for families. This is a fundraising event that will create an opportunity for the family (including your dogs) to get fit on a 2-mile walk. The procedes will benefit the Norfolk SPCA and Norfolk Botanical Garden. Regular admission applies. This will take place from 9 AM - 4 PM.

Future Chefs "Super Natural Halloween Treats" 
From 10 - 10:45 AM at Whole Foods Market, there will be a Future Chefs class for ages 6-10. Come out to make some super natural Halloween treats with the healthy eating specialist, Cara. A $3 per person donation is requested to benefit the Healthy Kids initiative of the Junior League of Norfolk/Virginia Beach.

Halloween Craft Make and Take
Head over to the Oceanfront Area Library (700 Virginia Beach Blvd. in Virginia Beach) to make a festive, Halloween craft anytime from 10 AM - 4:30 PM.

PaperCraft Monsters
Head over to the Joint Use TCC Library (1700 College Crescent Bldg. in Virginia Beach) to make ghoulish paper creations from 10-11:30 AM. This is for kids ages 5-12.

Virginia Beach Farmers Market Harvest Fair
Head over to 3640 Dam Neck Rd. in Virginia Beach from 10 AM - 4PM for fun activities for the whole family! There will be music, animal exhibits, fall decor, flowers, local crafters, children's activities and more! A small fee may be charged for some activities.

Zoo Boo
From 10 AM - 6 PM join the animals for the festive, fun. There will be animal pumpkin encounters, costume contests, trick-or-treating, and more! Members (ages 2 and up) are $6,non-members- $11, children under 2- FREE.

Community Day at Deep Creek Community Center
Head over to 2901 Margaret Booker Drive in Chesapeake from 10 AM - 2PM for a fun family day. The kids can meet "Chessie the Bear," you can get to know the staff, tour the center, and learn more about Parks and Recreation programs and events that are happening at the Deep Creek Community Center.

Halloween Kids Club at Pembroke Mall
From 11 AM - 1PM there will be a Halloween Arts and Crafts Event at Pembroke Mall (4554 Virginia Beach Blvd. in Virginia Beach in the Target wing. Kids will enjoy free crafts and can come dressed in their costumes.

Museum Madness
Enjoy a haunting day of Halloween fun at the Children's Museum (221 High Street in Portsmouth) with frightfully fun arts and crafts, face painting, pumpkin decorating, and more! This will take place from 12-6 PM.

Happy Halloween Storytime (Ages 3-6)
Head over to the Kempsville Area Library (832 Kempsville Rd. in Virginia Beach) for stories, songs, and crafts from 2-3 PM. Come dressed in your Halloween costume.

Halloween Bash at Green Bean
Green Bean in Virginia Beach is having a special Halloween Bash from 4:30 - 6:30 PM. Kids are welcome to come dressed in the costumes and get on fun goodie bags, bubble sensory play, and more! There will also be a photographer there to snap some pictures for your family.

The 12th Annual Olde Towne Safe Trick-Or-Treat
Saturday from 6-8PM from 200 Block to 600 Block on High Street there will be Halloween Fun for the whole family. There will be free candy galore and many things to see like living statues, a mad scientist show, "Thriller" flash mob dance, and more!

Sunday
Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat
From 6-7 PM, the Courthouse Community United Methodist Church will be having a Trunk-or-Treat event that is totally free! Bring the whole family for candy, costumes, and fun! This will take place at 2708 Princess Anne Rd. in Virginia Beach.

Company Picnic's can be SO much Fun!

The company William works for threw a company picnic this past weekend and we had so much fun! The employees and their families were invited and they did a barbecue with tons of food! They also did a scavenger hunt and gave each family a pumpkin and had "pumpkin painting." They had tug-of-war, horseshoes, and corn hole. And we were right next to a playground so the kids could play and they had a bounce house! There was so much to do! Maggie had so much fun playing with the big kids on the playground and in the bounce house! Plus, it was so nice meeting William's colleagues and boss and their families and learning more about what my husband does every day:) Here are a few pictures of our fun-filled day:

Maggie loved the bounce house! There was a sweet little girl that went in with Maggie and protected her from being jumped on by the bigger kids. 

Maggie had fun on the slide. She did have a bit of an accident where she fell down the slide instead of sliding down the slide and bumped her little face. But besides that, she had fun at the park! And we met other kids there too!

Head over to Mt. Trashmore for a fun, family festival with lots of events! All proceeds go to 1,000 individuals with Down Syndrome who live, work and contribute to Hampton Roads. Come out and support this awesome cause! This will begin at 7 AM and go on until 2 PM. 


Smorgasbord Saturdays
Kids ages 6-10 are invited to the Children's Museum of Virginia for Smorgasbord Saturdays. Kids will explore science, art, and history and do experiments and fun activities. This class is free to members, but for non members there is a $2 fee (not including the museum admission).

From 11 AM to 3 PM there will be music with a live DJ, petting farm, hayrides, inflatables, and a costume party at Hunt Club Farm. Stockley Gardens Arts Festival 
From 12-5 PM head over to Stockley Gardens in Ghent Norfolk for a fun festival! There will be live music, crafts, Bobby the Clown, a magic show, balloon animals and more!

1st Annual CLEBA 5K Halloween Run and Kids Fun Run
Oak Grove Lake Park is having a Halloween run to benefit the Chesapeake Law Enforcement Benevolent Association. Each participant will receive a T-shirt and possible awards. There will also be face painting, candy, stickers, corn hole, ring toss, and more. This will take place from 2-4 PM at 409 Byron Street in Chesapeake. The Virginia Aquarium is having another fun event from 2 - 3:15 PM in the Discovery Room. Come learn which animals come out at night and what special adaptions they have. Admission is:

$7 for members
$10 non members

Garden Fresh Storytime and Craft
Celebrate fruits and vegetables with and fun, healthy story time. This will take place at the Meyera Oberndorf Central Library at 2PM. There will also be a fun craft.

Healthy Kids Club
For just $3, your child (ages 6-10) can enjoy a fun class where they can learn about making healthy food choices in a fun hands-on way. This will take place at the Whole Foods Market (1800 Laskin Rd. in Virginia Beach). This class begins at 4PM. Register by clicking here.

Sing, Play, Move! 
Ages 3-5 can come for a fun, family time. Your child will sing, play, and move starting at 6 PM at the Windsor Woods Area Library (3612 South Plaza Trail in Virginia Beach).
