Fall Carnival at Chesapeake Square Mall
There is a fall Carnival going on now until Sunday, Sept. 29th at the Chesapeake Square Mall. Weekday hours are 5-11 PM and weekend hours are from 1-11 PM. Coupons are available at the mall office.

The Virginia Beach Convention Center is having a Train Show this weekend from 10 AM - 4 PM both Saturday and Sunday. Check out model railroad equipment, books, train sets, etc. Admission is $8 for adults. Children under 12 are free! The address is 1000 19th St. in Virginia Beach.
Craft & Storytime at Gymboree
Head over the the Virginia Beach Gymboree for an owl themed storytime and craft. This is for children ages newborn- 5 years old. This will take place at the Lynnhaven Mall from 9 AM - 12PM.
Cookies & Storytime
I have been hearing a lot of buzz about Green Bean and can't wait to try it out. On Saturday, kids ages 0-6 are invited to Green Bean for cookies and storytime at 9:30 AM. Admission is $10 per child (13 months and older), $5 per child under 13 months old. With this admission, kids can play all day. This is located at 1952 Laskin Road, Suite 509 at Regency Hilltop Shopping Center.
Corn Maze at Bergey's Breadbasket
The Corn Maze is open for the season! Head over to Bergey's Breadbasket at 2207 Mount Pleasant Road for the 5th Annual Corn Maze. It's 5 acres of fun open from 10 AM - 7 PM. It's $6 per person (under age 4 are FREE). This price includes the maze, wagon ride, corn hole, pumpkin patch, farm animals, sack racing, and more. (Pumpkins are sold seperately). To just ride the wagon it is only $3.
Smorgasbord Saturdays
Kids ages 6-10 are invited to the Children's Museum of Virginia for Smorgasbord Saturdays. Kids will explore science, art, and history and do experiments and fun activities. This class is free to members, but for non members there is a $2 fee (not including the museum admission).

Norfolk Botanical Gardens has a beautiful Butterfly House that you can come check out with your kids. They will be having a Butterfly Release at 10 AM. Regular Admission applies.
Pirates Pack the Park
The Mariners' Museum at 100 Museum Drive in Newport News is hosting Pirate Day in celebration of International Talk Like a Pirate Day. From 10 AM - 5 PM come out dressed like a pirate and help them break the world record for the "Largest Gathering of Pirates." Everyone dressed like a pirate will receive $5 admission to the Museum for the day.
Play Day 2013 in Norfolk
Families with kids of all ages are invited out for a day of play at Tarrallton Park (2100 Tarrallton Drive in Norfolk) from 10 AM - 2 PM. There will be music, bounce houses, healthy snacks, basketball scramble, egg races, games and more! They will also be trying to break the world record for the largest game of red light/green light.

Caterpillar-ology
Children ages 6-8 are invited to the Princess Anne Library from 10:30 - 11:30 AM to learn more about caterpillars and butterflies. Come out for the fun!
Pirate Day at Pembroke Mall
Another Pirate Day! There will be crafts for the kids and real pirates for them to meet! Dress up in a pirate costume and enjoy the fun from 11 AM - 1 PM.
Free Family Fest and Prisms Reception
The Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (2200 Parks Ave. in Virginia Beach) are holding a Family Fest. There will be exhibits, a gallery scavenger hunt, a chance to create your own art, and more. This event is from 2-4 PM.
