Virginia Beach Neptune Festival (Friday-Sunday)
There will be concerts and activities from 2nd - 36th Streets on the boardwalk at Virginia Beach all weekend. Head over for food, and Art & Craft show, volleyball tournament, marathon, and more. Don't miss out on this annual fun!

Little Rockstars Preschool Music Class
This class for preschoolers happens every week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10 AM and on Fridays at noon. It is $7 per adult & child and $5 per additional child. There are a lot of great reviews about this class- great energy for preschoolers- check it out!! It is at the Farmers Market in Virginia Beach.

Pokey Smokey II
For just $2 per rider you can take your train-loving children on a train ride! Head over to City Park at 140 City Park Ave. in Portsmouth) from 11:00 AM - 7PM to ride a replica of the 1863 C.P. Huntington train. This goes on every weekend!

Youth Climbing Club
From 5:30 - 7:30 PM the Virginia Beach Rock Gym is having an "open gym" for kids. Kids ages 3-13 will be able to climb rock walls. Harnesses and helmets are provided. Members are free, non members are $15. This is located at 5049 Southern Blvd. in Virginia Beach.

LEGO Master Builder Academy for Robot Building
Barnes and Noble in Chesapeake is having a LEGO night for children 8 and older for FREE! Your child will learn about building techniques and they will create their own robot. This begins at 7PM. Register your child by calling 757-382-0220.

Tidewater Mothers of Multiples Consignment Sale
The fall Mothers of Multiples Sale is here! Shop from 8 AM - 12:15 PM and then come back from 12:30 PM - 2 PM for the Half Price Sale. Speaking from experience, come out EARLY to get a number. There are a lot of moms that want to shop this sale and they only let a certain amount of people in at a time. Number will be given out starting at 6:45 AM. This is located at the Church of the Ascension which is at 4853 Princess Anne Rd. in Virginia Beach.

Make a Scarecrow / Make a Difference
Help support CHKD by coming out to one of three different locations in Hampton Roads Saturday or Sunday to build a scarecrow. Build a life-size scarecrow that you can take home with you. It is $25 to register, everything you will need is supplied for you. The three locations are:

Hampton (1139 W. Pembroke Ave.)
Virginia Beach (1144 Independence Blvd.)
Chesapeake (3925 Portsmouth Blvd.)

Amazing Butterflies 
The Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center a fun butterfly maze for kids to go through. In this maze, they will learn the stages a caterpillar goes through in order to turn into a butterfly. This is a hands-on life size maze that is open from 9AM - 5PM. Regular admission prices apply.

Treasures at Trashmore
Mt. Trashmore is having a giant yard sale! Head over to find some great deals from 9AM - 1PM on Saturday.

Neptune Festival Grand Parade
In the middle of the Neptune Festival there will be a GRAND parade! There will be fun floats, marching bands, candy, fun, and more! There will be 16 blocks for you to find a great spot- betweent 16th and 32nd Streets. This will begin at 11:30 AM - 1PM and totally free!

Also, come back at 9PM for the Fireworks Extravaganza on the 14th Street Pier.

Birth & Beyond Expo
If you are expecting a child, you will definitely want to check out Birth & Beyond from 10AM - 4PM at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. There will be lots of various vendors, giveaways, freebies, educational information about birth, and more.

Fall Craft Make & Take
Head over to the Oceanfront Area Library at 700 Virginia Beach Blvd. from 10AM - 4:30PM for a drop-in to make a festive craft. No registration is required.

Nutcracker Auditions for Hampton Roads Children
If your child is between the ages of 7-14 get him/her involved in dance! The Richmond Ballet and the State Ballet of Virginia invite ballet students to audition for the Nutcracker.
