Events for this weekend- (Sept. 6-8)

Happy Friday!! Here are some family friendly events going on in Hampton Roads this weekend!!

Friday

Hampton Bad Days 

(Friday- 12-11PM, Saturday- 10AM-11PM, Sunday- 12-6PM)

Come out to a festival promoting the Chesapeake Bay! There will be live music, 100 vendors, fireworks, education about the Bay, etc. This will take place in Downtown Hampton (Take exit 267- Settlers Landing Rd.) 

Little Rockstars Preschool Music Class

Take your preschooler out to the Farmers Market at 3640 Dam Neck Road in Virginia Beach at noon.  This class is $7 per child/adult pair and $5 per additional child. This is going on each Friday! 

Infant Massage Classes

If you have a newborn and would like to learn more about infant massages, bonding, colic, how to stimulate circulation, etc. head over to Wave of Life Chiropractic Center (4640 Shore Drive in Virginia Beach) from 1-2:30PM. This is a free event! 

School of Rock (End of Season Show)

Head over to Eagleton Hall at School of Rock in Norfolk (430 Boush Street) from 5:30-9:30 PM on Friday or Saturday to see the School of Rock of Norfolk play their end of the season shows. 

Friday- Foo Fighters vs. Green Day, Pop Rocks, Black Keys + White Stripes

Saturday- Black Keys + White Stripes, Pop Rocks, Foo Fighters vs. Green Day

Zoovies

The Virginia Zoo in Norfolk is showing a movie under the stars on Friday night from 6-9:30 PM. They will be showing "A Bug's Life." Admission is free to Zoo Members. General Admission prices for those that don't have a zoo membership. 

Saturday

Bank of America Museums

If you bank with Bank of America or Merrill Lynch you can enjoy FREE admission into the Chidren's Museum of Virginia on 211 High Street in Portsmouth. There are other museums throughout the country that you can get into for free as well. This is going on Saturday and Sunday! 

Home Depot Kids Workshop

Children ages 5-12 are invited to your closest Home Depot for a FREE workshop! This is from 9AM-12PM. Kids will learn about tool safety and learn other new skills along with doing a cool craft. They also get a free apron! Sign your kids up by clicking here. 

Origami 

Learn basic origami techniques at the TCC/City of Virginia Beach Library on S. Rosemont and Faculty Drive in Virginia Beach. This class will take place from 10AM-12PM on Saturday. 

Game On: Family Style

Okay, video gamers- this is the event for you! Bring the whole family to Meyera E. Oberndorf  Central Library (wow, that's a mouthful) at 4100 Virginia Beach Blvd. for an afternoon of gaming! This will take place Saturday from 2-4PM. Go get your game one! 

Sunday

The 8th Annual Mid Autumn Moon Festival

It's Festival Time! Head over to TowneBank Fountain Park at 333 Waterside Drive in Norfolk from 12-4PM. There will be storytelling, Asian Ceremonial fashion shows, ribbon and dragon dancing, activities for the kids, martial arts, dance, children's lantern parade and much more!
